Planing results in machining with nearly zero distortion. Contrary to milling, no heat is inducted into the workpiece. All the heat is dissipated through the metal chips, and the workpiece remains at ambient temperature.

Planed profiles are often cheaper, compared to milling. This is because no expensive special-form cutters or drawn-out line-by-line ­milling is necessary. Instead, the contours can be planed with our in-house shape-ground tools.
